Praxis Facilities Management, part of Praxis Group the vertically integrated UK real estate development and investment platform, has been officially accredited as a Real Living Wage employer by the UK’s Living Wage Foundation.

The organisation has fully aligned operations with Real Living Wage’s recommended remuneration levels, having consistently done so since the cost of living began considerably increasing in 2022.

Praxis Facilities Management employs over 300 individuals nationwide who provide all on-site building services across Praxis’ £1.2 billion UK real estate portfolio in addition to third party assets. This covers building management, security, administration, maintenance, catering and cleaning to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Praxis Facilities Management has joined over 15,000 other responsible employers across the UK with this accreditation, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that all employees earn a fair wage that reflects real living costs. Its parent company considers the ability to attract and retain a committed workforce to deliver a fully integrated facilities management service across all assets in its portfolio as central to its success. In recognition of this, Praxis believes that the formal accreditation will further strengthen its competitive advantage in terms of making Praxis Facilities Management a top choice for prospective employees across the country, whilst underlining the quality of its service to tenants and external landlords.

Richard Paxton, Operations Director at Praxis Facilities Management, commented:

“We understand the correlation between doing good by your employees and their commitment to your business, which ultimately enhances the quality of service being delivered. We are a people-focussed business, and providing financial security to support employee wellbeing in and out of the workplace will ultimately benefit our operations and, crucially, society as a whole. This accreditation gives recognition to the incredible work and effort put in by our team each day, up and down the country.”

Rosamund King, Chief People Officer of Praxis Group, commented:

“I am delighted that Praxis Facilities Management has been recognised as a Living Wage Employer.  This reflects Praxis Group’s core value of doing the right thing by employees.  Many PFM colleagues are in front-line roles, vital to keeping our real estate portfolio, tenants and visitors safe, as well as creating clean and vibrant environments.  I am proud that Praxis Facilities Management is a firm where people can grow their careers for the longer term.”

The Real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 460,000 people and put £3 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.
