Mark Harrison is a highly experienced real estate entrepreneur having spent his entire career investing in and managing UK property.

From a zero base, across multiple economic cycles, he built one of the UKs largest privately owned property companies before making the decision to liquidate in 2006/07 ahead of the global financial crisis.

Mark founded Praxis in 2009 to capitalise on the unprecedented investment opportunities arising from the Global Financial Crisis and has since guided the company to a position of prominence in the UK real estate market.

As part of his role as Group CEO, Mark is responsible for setting Praxis’ capital allocation strategies, managing risk across the Group, and chairing the investment committee.

James Hewitt started his career with DTZ, where he qualified as a chartered surveyor, and spent five years in the central London investment team. During this time he advised a broad range of institutional and private clients on investment, leasing, and development.

He later transitioned into the private equity sector where he gained extensive experience of originating, underwriting, and managing a diverse portfolio of UK property.

James joined Praxis in 2016 and works across the business with responsibility for the implementation of the portfolios business plans.

Gary Varley is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the real estate and investment sectors. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, he co-founded a real estate investment fund, which he scaled from a start-up and led its successful IPO on the London Stock Exchange as CFO. More recently, he directed the +€1bn divestment of a major European logistics portfolio to Blackstone, one of the largest European real estate transactions of 2024.

Gary leads the finance function encompassing operational finance, financing relationships, structuring, taxation, compliance and reporting.

David McCann has been a practicing solicitor since 2001, spending the 20 years prior to joining Praxis as the Managing Partner for a multi-disciplinary practice where he specialized in dispute resolution and contract disputes for private clients and public companies.

During this time, and in addition to his legal work, he held numerous non-executive roles in the real estate, health, and education sectors.

David was appointed NED to Praxis in 2011 before joining the executive Board in 2019. He brings a wealth of practical legal and commercial counsel to assist the business to achieve its commercial objectives.

Rosamund King is a CIPD qualified HR professional with over 18 years’ experience leading the people agenda. Rosamund started her career specialising in recruitment in Financial Services and has developed broad HR generalist experience through senior roles in Banking and Professional Services. In recent years, Rosamund has held the no.1 position in two mid-sized foreign banks in the UK. Rosamund has a passion for working with high growth firms to transform and develop the people and culture strategy to ensure future commercial success.

Rosamund joined Praxis in 2024 and is responsible for leading the people function across the group.

Charlie leads the investment team at Praxis and is responsible for origination, execution, and asset-level strategy across the firms UK investment platform. He joined the business in 2021 and has since overseen the acquisition of over £700m of assets across the UK.

Prior to Praxis, Charlie spent five years at Squarestone HUB, building a large UK regional office platform which was subsequently sold to Regional REIT.

Charlie studied Real Estate at the University of Reading and began his career at Strutt & Parker, working within the Industrial Investment and London Development teams whilst qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor.

Calum leads the investor relations and portfolio management team at Praxis, with responsibility for capital relationships, investor communications, and portfolio level strategy across the business.

He joined the business in 2024 from Brockton Capital, where he chaired the Investment Committee whilst overseeing the fund management, portfolio management, and investor relations functions, representing more than 70 institutional and high-net-worth clients and a portfolio of approximately £7.0 billion GAV.

Before Brockton, he was an analyst at M&G Real Estate and a Chartered Accountant in the Banking and Capital Markets team at EY. Calum studied theoretical physics at the University of St Andrews.
